KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities
- Admission Management: Facilitating patient admissions, verifying insurance coverage, collecting patient information, and securing necessary consent forms.
- Discharge Planning: Coordinating with medical staff, nursing, and support services to ensure timely, safe discharge, including arranging transportation and follow-up care.
- Communication: Acting as a link between patients, families, and doctors, providing clear information on policies and procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Maintaining accurate electronic medical records, managing patient data, and updating discharge registers.
- Financial Coordination: Collaborating with the billing department to check accuracy of bills, including reviewing fees for accuracy before the patient leaves.
- Bed Management: Liaising with ward in-charges to ensure room availability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: A diploma in business management/health records or health management systems
- Experience: Previous hospital experience in a similar position, particularly in patient services.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in medical software or computer applications.
