THEATER NURSE INCHARGE – NYERI BRANCH
Outspan Teaching and Referral Hospital (OTRH), a leading Level 5 Teaching and Referral Hospital within the Outspan Global health and education ecosystem, invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals to fill the position of Theater nurse in-charge at its Nyeri Branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily theater activities, ensuring smooth scheduling, efficient patient flow and proper use of surgical equipment
- Enforce stringent infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, ensuring all surgical procedures adhere to regulations
- Ensure compliance with all quality control protocols
- Act as a role model, providing guidance, training and mentorship to nursing staff and students
- Monitor, order and manage inventory of all surgical supplies, ensuring availability for procedures
- Liase between surgeons, anaesthetists and other support staff to create a productive team environment
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in a leadership role in a level 4 and above hospital
- Higher diploma in perioperative nursing
- Valid practicing license
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
